Sterling Transport was derived as a retail propane business that opened its doors in 1939. In 1994, this retail operation expanded to include transport services to aid in delivery. And so, Sterling Transport was created. Five trucks and one dispatcher comprised the staff of the startup transport service. Following it's birth in 1994, Sterling Transport expanded rapidly to meet the needs of a growing industry. Shipments of propane were joined by that of butane, and later, asphalt, cement and sand. Today, over 100 trucks and drivers, along with a team of dedicated dispatchers form the staff of Sterling Transport.
